Red Alert Countries Ranking List
Your favourite Red Alert blogger brings you another interesting topic. For this list I'm ranking countries based on their strength of depth and their talent and how they would hypothetically fair in a world cup format where 4v4 games and a squad of lots of players (not just 1v1 or 2v2) would score points. For this reason, countries such as Chile (NastyNate) and Kosovo (Bea5ty) don't make the list as they only really have 1 pro player and so could not play in a 4v4 match, let alone have a B-team 4v4. Essentially, the more pro players a country has, the further up the list it will be, with the strength of the 4 best players determining the ranking. I've also notably not included China in the list because all of their best players play on the chinese gaming arcade so we can't give an accurate account of them. The best Chinese player I've come across was Pinky323 who played on CnCNet for about 3 days in 2014. Unfortunately he had major connection issues on CnCNet so gave up playing. The games I did see him play, he never lost. He was extremely impressive. Yaunger is also a notable player who sometimes plays on CnCNet occasionally. This list includes players who have been active at any time from 2010-2020.
Here goes:
10. Peru
A small South American country which is a hotbed of Red Alert talent. One of the best young players in the game is their star player, Dolche. Chuki is also a very good 2nd best player and their veteran player Loqul makes them a respectable force in 3v3. Roosevelt and Pichi are probably neck and neck for their 4v4 team but you can assure that overall this would be a very strong team and they deserve their place on this list.
9. Lebanon
A team consisting of Ad, Fighter, Madman and RedAlert1 is a formidable threat. The Lebanese tend to be Arena specialists and I am sure there are other players I've forgot to mention (sorry). This would make a solid team but not quite as strong as some of the others on this list.
8. Australia
If this was a 2v2 rankings then Australia would arguably be 2nd or 3rd on this list. Hezb and Kickn are 2 superpro players but their squad isn't as strong once you go further down the list. Players like Joey, Harkit and Bayrock were all decent pro players but they probably lack the strength in depth of some of the higher ranked countries which is why they would probably struggle in a 4v4 environment. However they would still be a formidable threat and their top 2 players alone give them the respect they deserve.
7. Argentina
Lauta is their star player, we have had our differences but no-one can deny Lauta's prowess on P4. Macch1 and Panther are very creditable 2nd and 3rd options and Maty rounds out a formidable 4v4 team. Other players such as Vardoc means they have some strength in reserve which is why I've placed them above teams such as Lebanon. Argentina would truly be a threat for anyone.
6. Brazil
Brazil have a truly super-pro top 3. Santi, Fury and GTR is their Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Rivaldo. They are excellent players. Rioo is an extremely strong 4th option. I've not placed them higher on the list because I feel like their players all specialise in unlimited ore so if it came to ore maps and gem maps etc they wouldn't fare as well against the teams higher ranked. I'd also say their 5th-10th best players don't compete as well with the teams higher ranked, however their top 4 is truly a force.
5. United Kingdom
We deserve this ranking because of our strength in depth and how stacked we are. The UK could easily fill 2 very strong 4v4 teams and still have room left over. Crush, Leigh, Kobra, Lordy, Blitz, Doc, Abacus, Romper, Naughtylove, Krez, Simon (Loopy) are some of the British pro players who have been active on CnCNet. I've not placed as us as high as the top 4 teams because it is true that our very best team probably isn't quite as good as them and we do lack a real 5-star legendary type player. However when it comes to sheer strength in depth we are probably the deepest country of all.
4. Germany
Germany have had some excellent not-so-ironic German allied tankers which is only fitting! I'd give props to Faust for being their best player, with Funky and Mafia being close for 2nd. Otto, PeterSky, Superwario, Koko, Claus, Oldie, Natu are very respectable options who could be the 4th option or play on the B-team. They really are a force to be reckoned with. They just aren't as stacked as the top 3 teams on this list.
3. USA
Robskate, Blank and Jacob is a star-studded top 3. ORA-boy, Stacks, Ifuc and Dizzy would be excellent options to complete their 4v4 team and they would certainly be capable of beating anyone on this list. They also have several decent players who could make up B and C teams such as Antman, Bart, Dopekillz, Aegon, Steel etc. I've not placed them as high as 1 or 2 for good reason, you will see just how stacked teams 1 and 2 are.
2. Canada
Under normal circumstances, Canada would easily be the best team. Ford is one of the best players online, Herm is one of the best builders in the history of the game and Kronic is a super level tanker. Butcher, Cousintank, Dany, Mega-Jimm Fluffy or Greendragon would be great options for the 4v4 team. Oldpro as a solid builder could choose to captain the C-team or learn to tank and play for their B team. Canada are stacked there's no other way about it. You will see just how borderline unfair team 1 is in a moment which is the only reason Canada don't take the top spot.
1. Finland
This team is just unfair. Ehy is the best player of the CnCnet era. At0m1 is also one of the best players in all of CnCnet. 2pac is probably the best V2 producer the game has ever seen and Sol3man is a freak as well. Literally their 4th best player could be the best player on most of the other teams. It's scary that Vassallo and Semmosta don't even make the A-team. People joke about WTC-seven but when he is your 7th best player things are going well. Finland would just destroy any other team on this list 4v4 and it wouldn't be close. Their team is borderline illegal and they are by far the strongest Red Alert country and everyone knows it.
